The Director of Food and Beverage will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the food, beverage and wine offering at Sheen Falls Lodge and Ring of Kerry Golf Club.  We are looking for a passionate manager that has excellent food, beverage and wine knowledge, attention to detail, is standard driven and who can lead the team and manage the financial aspects and objectives of the department.</p><p>The Director of Food and Beverage will report directly to the General Manager.</p><ul></ul><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>To oversee and ensure that all the objectives are met in the food &amp; beverage department under the key result areas of<ul><li>1. Business development</li><li>2. Financial performance and objectives</li><li>3. Overall quality &amp; standards</li><li>4. Day to day operations in each outlet</li><li>5. Culture, team development, engagement, and retention.</li><li>6. Customer service and satisfaction.</li></ul></li></ul><ul><li>Lead all facets of the food &amp; beverage operations in both Sheen Falls Lodge and Ring of Kerry Golf Club, including three restaurants, bars, private dining rooms, lounges, fine dining, room service, private events and weddings, ensuring five-star quality excellence in both presentation and service.</li><li>To be commercially aware and focused on revenue generation and cost control in food &amp; beverage across the company.</li><li>Work closely with the senior leadership team on the overall strategy of the food &amp; beverage department.</li><li>Foster a culture and environment of continuous learning and development within the team.</li><li>Work closely with HR to attract, hire, and retain the right talent.</li><li>Have an ability to develop close relationships with suppliers in order to develop a local food &amp; beverage offering.</li><li>Continual assessment and update of existing SOPs, staff training and responding to customer satisfaction surveys.</li><li>Be standards focused with the ability to inspire the food &amp; beverage team to deliver the same standards.</li><li>Use technology and systems to the departments advantage.</li><li>Lead the food &amp; beverage team on the management of stock and work closely with the executive chef.</li><li>Ensure the food &amp; beverage KPI’s and gross profit margin each month.</li><li>Maximize revenue by effective management of the Sheen Falls Lodge and Ring of Kerry Golf Club operations across the food &amp; beverage outlets.</li><li>Managing payroll costs of this department.</li><li>To organise the efficient operation of all food &amp; beverage outlets in the hotel.</li><li>Staff communication and training</li><li>Further development of the department.</li><li>Be a visible strong presence across the food &amp; beverage outlets, mobilizing and providing direction to your departmental managers.</li></ul><ul><li>Work closely with the Sales and Marketing department including but not exclusive to providing content for promotional materials as required on an ongoing basis.</li></ul><p>Sheen Falls Lodge and Ring of Kerry Golf Club is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.</p><p>We have one full-time position available on 5 days over 7 basis, which includes weekends and evening shifts.</p><p>Please note, we are only accepting applications from persons who have the permission/ right to live and work without restriction in Ireland.</p><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>Qualifying Criteria:</strong></p><p><strong>Must Demonstrate:</strong></p><ul><li>Fluent level of English both verbal and written.</li><li>Previous experience as a Director of Food &amp; Beverage or assistant Director of Food &amp; Beverage within a similar luxury five-star service and product environment, including fine dining for a minimum of 2 years.</li><li>Extensive knowledge and experience of food, beverage, and wine service at 5 * level.</li><li>Experience in weddings and events food &amp; beverage service.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal and organisational skills, strong leadership, and people management skills.</li><li>An understanding and experience of operational controls, budgeting, payroll, forecasting, inventory
