Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Software Engineer Intern located in our Farmington Hills, MI site.

Reporting to the Systems Engineering Manager, the student will assist with daily software engineering tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.

What a typical day looks like:

• Design, document, build and test new software applications
• Assess new application ideas
• Develop applications (coding, programming)
• Support embedded software development activities (C/C++ or Python), including unit testing and debugging
• Help integrate and test software with hardware platforms (ECUs, evaluation boards, test benches)
• Participate in system verification, validation, and test automation
• Attend team meetings and support project work as needed

Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:

• Currently enrolled student pursuing a degree in Software Engineering or Computer Engineering
• Strong Communication Skills (verbal and written), enjoys working in teams
• Organizational, Analytical, and Problem-Solving skills and Resourcefulness are a must
• Integrity and genuine willingness to help
• Testing and Debugging, Linux & Python skills
• Strongly preferred: hands-on experience with schematics and trouble-shooting

Internship Program Requirements:

• Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
• Currently enrolled in accredited university
• 3.0 minimum GPA
