Assistant Residential Division Director
Full Time/ Salary/ $84,000
Our Residential program is seeking an Assistant Division Director. This position will provide leadership and guidance to a cluster of homes for the development and implementation of the Residential Program to enhance and encourage independent living for individuals functioning at various levels of self-sufficiency, and for the program’s overall operation of twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week. . The Assistant Division Director will provide leadership and guidance to a cluster of homes. Guidance and leadership will include addressing client and programmatic development, client safety and treatment, staff development and supervision, training compliance, regulatory compliance and on-call responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Direct and assure implementation of Residential Division policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with individuals’ families and area human service, educational, recreational, and housing agencies to meet individuals’ goals based on their preference while working to further their personal growth.
- Develop program funding proposal and budget, monitor spending, and recommend budget amendments.
- Submit all appropriate reports and statistical data as required.
- Ensure individual input in staff interview and selection process and recommend staff changes and hires.
- Supervise and evaluate Program Operations Managers and assist in supervision and evaluation of their staff, focusing on individual service excellence.
- Establish required basic training and recommend in-service training and staff development for program staff.
- Serve as liaison in the community to promote awareness and support of the program.
- Participate as a member of the Residential Leadership Team.
- Respond to Residential Division emergencies as needed, including maintaining a working cell phone to be accessible at all times during regularly scheduled hours.
- Work an on-call rotating schedule of weekends and nights, responding to and following up on calls and incidents based on program/Agency protocols.
- Be responsible for accessing HCSIS to complete ISPs and/or incident reports.
- Monitor and maintain all program technology/software.
- Maintain all documentation, including electronic documentation, as required by licensing, certification, accreditation, regulatory, and Agency standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Division Director or Vice President.
- May be required to use personal vehicle for work purposes.
- Participate in all staff meetings and required training sessions, including in-service training, as scheduled.
- Maintain all program and Agency required trainings.
QUALIFICATION
- A bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field and three years of related experience, with two years in a supervisory capacity; or an associate’s degree and four years of related experience, with one year in a supervisory capacity; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of residential programs for developmentally disabled adults.
- Knowledge of government contracting processes.
- Skill in administration and/or supervision.
- Ability to serve as a role model and a leader within the Agency and its service community.
- Ability to respond to division emergencies.
- A qualifying criminal background check, driving record, and a valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to provide current copy of all required health records and TB assessments.
