Mission

As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you will join the development support team at the National Bank of Belgium. You will contribute to critical application systems that support the bank's business domains.

Your responsibilities include:

• Developing application components.

• Participating in the design of application elements in collaboration with the technical lead.

• Providing technical guidance and coaching to team members.

Requirements

• Expertise in Java 8, Hibernate, Spring, Maven, and RESTful API design.

• Experience in Test Driven Development (JUnit, Spring, CI) and tools such as GIT, IntelliJ, Bamboo.

• Strong knowledge of security (OWASP, Spring Security) and databases (Oracle, SQL).

• Proficiency in technical documentation and methodologies like Scrum/Kanban.

• Skills in team coaching and support.

• Familiarity with the financial/banking sector is a plus.

• Languages: French or Dutch (native or bilingual), English (professional proficiency).
