Engineering Manager, Targeting
AcuityMD is a software and data platform that accelerates access to medical technologies. We help MedTech companies understand how their products are used, why customers vary, and identify opportunities for physicians to better serve their patients. Each year, the FDA approves ~6,000 new medical devices. Our platform helps MedTech companies get these products to physicians more effectively so they can improve patient care with the latest technology. We are looking for a strongly technical and empathetic engineering leader to lead our Targeting team, helping our MedTech customers prioritize and qualify the surgeons and facilities with patients who could most benefit from their medical technology. Reporting to the VP Engineering, you will be instrumental in guiding the team’s technical investments, achieving product success, growing the team, and mentoring engineers. You will join the engineering leadership team to help shape the culture, processes, and technical investments across engineering.

Team Mission
The Targeting Team is responsible for ****driving the core of our product by empowering VPs, marketers, sales ops, and sales reps to find the surgeons and facilities who would see the best patient outcomes and the best financial outcomes from adopting their medical technologies. We deliver top-tier solutions for MedTech sales teams to define their markets and identify high-potential opportunities to take their business to the next level. Responsibilities
- Successfully deliver the right product for the right use cases in partnership with our product team
- Craft the engineering roadmap that best supports the product and business strategy that will deliver the most value to our customers
- Be a strong voice for technical excellence, a passionate advocate for thoughtful software design, and a mentor and coach who inspires engineers to grow
- Drive initiatives across our engineering team to build and reinforce our culture of expansive ownership, individual autonomy, and constant learning through curiosity
- Contribute meaningfully to the growth of each engineer individually and to the team’s overall operating capability
- Collaborate with Product and Design to own and execute on the team’s roadmap, adapting it as we learn
- Facilitate collaboration with other teams to deliver the best solution for the customer regardless of internal lines of ownership
- Lead and advocate for better development practices
- Take a leadership role throughout the engineering organization, including in our hiring and onboarding processes
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience as a professional software engineer
- 3+ years of experience as a deeply-technical engineering manager
- Experience leading complex technical projects
- Proven track record of architecting, building, and delivering software
- Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
You must have an eligible work permit in the USA or Canada to be considered for this position.
AcuityMD is committed to providing highly competitive cash compensation, equity, and benefits. The compensation offered for this role will be based on multiple factors such as location, the role’s scope and complexity, and the candidate’s experience and expertise, market data and may vary from the range provided. Base salary range: $200,000 to $240,000
