The Senior Supply Chain Analyst reviews supply chain metrics to develop strategies and leverage GPO resources. They lead clinical and business teams to common decisions that support high quality care, product standardization, best practices, and best value. They will work independently within a set of given parameters, as defined by leadership, and will have priorities restated regularly. Leads and builds consensus among UofL Health teams working in all entities and physician practices.

  • The Senior Supply Chain Analyst reviews supply chain metrics to develop strategies and leverage GPO resources.  They lead clinical and business teams to common decisions that support high quality care, product standardization, best practices, and best value. Leads and builds consensus among UofL Health teams working in all entities and physician practices

    Essential Functions:

    Under the direct supervision of Director, Supply Chain Contracting, this position...

    • supports all supply contracting activities including clinical, business, medical device, and services for all UofL Health entities

    • Mines data to identify opportunities for product standardization, simplification, and cost savings using Premier analytics, EPSI, financial and general ledger data, Health Catalyst and other cost accounting solutions and information sources and presents recommendations

    • Develops and manages contract compliance reporting and forwards reviews to leadership with recommendations, as required

    • Analyzes Bill/Only and medical device spend ensuring that products are in alignment with current agreements

    • Reviews non-file spend to identify opportunities to ensure that items are not routinely purchased outside of the new item review process

    • Analyzes, interprets and queries data using SQL, Tableau, Advanced Excel, in addition to maintaining KPI dashboards

    Other Functions:

    • Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct

    • Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times

    • Performs other duties as assigned

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field (required)

    • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field (preferred)

    Experience:

    • 3 Years in a Healthcare Environment (required)
