What you will do

The Construction Project Executive position is part of our Building Solutions, North America business. Due to our growth, we are looking for a seasoned Construction Project Executive to be the subject matter expert on larger, more complex construction projects, with a Data Center focus for BAS, Fire Alarm, and Security. This is an “on-site” position directing and interfacing with the site stakeholders and project team leaders. Under general direction, manages the overall performance of Johnson Control’s larger construction projects. Organizes the program/project development effort, development of the management plan and monitoring progress against the plan.  Identifies actions required to be taken in the event of deviation from the plan. Adheres to Johnson Controls standardized procedures and processes.  Represents Johnson Controls and its interests to drive and deliver defined program/project outcomes.  Responsible for the overall safety program compliance. Must be open to traveling as needed throughout the Region and possibly the US.

How you will do it

• Primary leadership for the overall program/project and associated Project Delivery Teams.

• Works with Project Sponsors, Business Development, Project Development and Project Delivery Teams to identify and deliver program objectives.

• Overall responsibility for Program/Project Management Plan.

• A proactive and situationally aware leader, driving throughput and closure for; Contract, Schedule, Installation, Risk, and Financial goals and outcomes.

• Manages risks and works with Project Delivery Teams to establish project recovery plans.

• Mentors project team and assess training needs to benefit future project leaders.

• Responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of assigned projects via operational and financial systems reporting.

• Makes presentations to Leadership on current and forecasted performance.

• Evaluates and reviews overall subcontracting strategies.

• Maintains relationships with key management personnel of any major subcontractors.

• Oversees monthly performance evaluations of strategic program/projects through the assigned portfolio, and provides reports to management.

• Overall responsibility for the scope management (planning, definition, verification, change control) process.

• Responsible for coordination with Major Projects and other Regional Installation Managers for allocating resources to meet program objectives.

• Responsible for overall program asset management including collections, cost control, progress billings and payables.

• Ensures project document controls are in compliance with contract requirements.

• Continually seeks and capitalizes upon opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
