We are a team of tax professionals specializing in tax advisory services on the Czech as well as international transactions. Our work covers assistance to our clients with due diligence of target entities, tax structuring of the transaction as well assistance with their implementation. We also provide tax advice in the field of complex international taxation issues.

About your managers
Jan Fischer leads the M&A tax practice in PwC. He has been with PwC for more than twenty years and has extensive experience with Czech and cross-border transactions, due diligence, tax structuring and related services.
Lucia Čechová has been working in PwC Czech Republic since 2011. Prior to joining PwC she worked for the Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic, dealing with preparation of the Czech tax legislation and EU agenda in income taxes.
In PwC Lucia leads the ITS practice within the M&A team, advising financial institutions, multinational clients as well as Czech clients on corporate tax matters and international tax and structuring issues.
Job description & summary
As an M&A Senior Manager/Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in advising our clients on complex international tax consulting projects including structuring, Pillar 2 as well as mergers and acquisitions. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complexities of international taxation.
Navigating International Taxation Complexities: Your expertise will be pivotal in areas like dividends, interests, licensing fees, permanent establishments, Pillar 2, etc.
Strategic Advisory: Provide strategic advice in M&A, fund structures and international taxation, aligning with client goals through analysis, planning, and execution.
M&A Transaction Structuring: Engage in structuring acquisitions or disposals of companies, refinancing, etc.
Tax Due Diligence: Conduct pre-sale tax inspections of companies, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.
Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships, crucial for project success.
Developing Business: Identify potential clients or areas for improvement business in the area of M&A
Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Collaborate across teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Global Collaboration: Work with colleagues from other offices on international projects and within local teams.
Embracing Technology: Contribute to tax process improvements using advanced tools like Alteryx, Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau.
Requirements of the role
Experience in M&A taxation or international taxation.
A completed university degree, ideally in taxation.
Fluent in Czech and English proficiency at level B2 or higher.
Reliable and unafraid to tackle challenges.
Tax advisor qualifications.
IFRS or Pillar 2 knowledge is an advantage, but not required.
