You will be responsible for supporting the project operations, by giving pro-active, professional, competent and practical legal support.  You will utilize specialist legal skills including in key areas such as commercial law and dispute resolution.</p><p></p><p>As  Senior Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for:</p><ul><li>Providing strategic legal advice and support on a wide range of issues pertaining to project operations and dispute resolution</li><li>Partnering with the business to drive strategy, profitability and growth</li><li>Drafting and negotiating claims and disputes related agreements and communications</li><li>Proactively managing the legal risks connected with or resulting from project operations</li><li>Managing, and/or working together with other Legal Groups including to manage litigation</li><li>Actively promoting a culture of compliance, integrity and ethics and ensuring successful management by GTE project operations of the Baker Hughes compliance program</li></ul><p></p><p>Fuel your passion</p><p>To be successful in this role you will:</p><ul><li>Have demonstrable senior counsel experience in a global organization</li><li>Have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college</li><li>Have excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills</li><li>Possess strong  analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills</li><li>Be a collaborative team player, able to lead cross functional programs / projects</li><li>Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate complex messages concisely and to influence sound and compliant decision making</li><li>Show initiative to take on new challenges and lead change in a fast-paced environment</li></ul><p></p><p>Work in a way that works for you</p><p>We recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
