World Electric is seeking a proactive problem solver with experience managing a full-cycle finance department, including high-volume overhead Accounts Payable.  We are looking for an individual to not only handle the day-to-day operations, but also to improve processes, analyze financial trends, and help us manage the explosive growth we have experienced, and will continue to experience, in our business. 

 

 Responsibilities:

• Enforce business and financial policies and procedures, ensuring controls are being followed.
• Analyze company’s financial data and provide trend analyses.
• Guide cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing company policies and procedures.
• Assist in the month end closing and financial reporting process including account analysis and reconciliation.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support where necessary. At times, this may include involvement in due diligence and other activities surrounding acquisitions/dispositions.
• Coordinate work relating to both internal and external audits in the periodic review of the company financial records; is further responsible for the implementation of agreed upon recommendations, related to areas of responsibility, resulting from the audit findings.
• Assist with the preparation, review and monitoring of budgets to achieve business goals and performance.
• Support company-wide initiatives, including digital, and collaboration; develop appropriate supporting initiatives within finance department.
• Supervise finance and accounts payable staff.
• Provide team members with leadership, coaching, and support to ensure execution of plans and accountability for results.
• Contribute to special projects, as necessary.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Electrical, industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required
• BS or BA in Finance
• Minimum ten years relevant experience
• Strong general ledger accounting, analytical skills, proven ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts to achieve a positive outcome.

 

Requirements:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data for decision-making purposes.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to hold team accountable.
• Inquisitive and progressive – able to adapt and drive change.
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
• High proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ERP systems; experience with Eclipse ERP and GetPaid Credit Collection Tool are a plus.
