Position Overview: Payroll and Accounting Specialist
About The Job
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Payroll & Accounting Assistant to support our finance and HR operations. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in payroll and accounting systems, who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The position offers flexibility, with remote work available following an initial in-office onboarding period.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with payroll processing and employee data management using Paycom
- Perform day-to-day accounting tasks using QuickBooks
- Maintain accurate financial and payroll records
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure accurate compensation reporting
- Provide administrative support related to payroll, benefits, and general ledger reconciliation
- Help ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
Environmental and Working Conditions
Works in a routine office environment. Noise level may be moderately high.
Physical and Mental Effort
Prolonged sitting and some standing required. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Requires excellent problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Paycom (HRIS/payroll system)
- QuickBooks (accounting software)
- Some familiarity with Accounts Payable
- Part-time nature of the role (~20 hours/week)
