What the Vice President of Project Management does at Worldwide
The Vice President, Project Management (VPPM) is responsible for the overall management and direction of the Project Management team within a franchise or therapeutic area. This is a leadership role. VPPM is responsible for an operational and financial oversight of projects within a franchise or therapeutic area, recruitment, training, development and performance review of personnel, the strategy and acquisition of new business, developing and maintaining effective client relationships.
What you will do
Ensure consistency in operational and financial delivery within assigned franchise or therapeutic area
Develop and implement revised, clear and concise roles and responsibilities within Project Teams and Functions
Chair and conduct the Monthly Portfolio Review meeting, focusing on measuring, and improving all Project Delivery for assigned franchise or therapeutic area
Identify potential customer issues and conduct project specific “deep dives” to remedy team performance and delivery issues
Work with teams to identify and effectively communicate key business, therapeutic, clinical and operational “insights” that engage, inform and excite our teams and our sponsors.
Work with TA Leadership and Central Planning to ensure staffing plans and forecasts are accurate, adequate and agreed by functions, PM and our sponsors.
Ensure discipline and consistency within franchise and TA in the management of Scope (change order) and risk management throughout project delivery.
Oversee the development, implementation and adherence to project plans and performance indicators
Review and approve strategy, content and costing of new business proposals
Develop and maintain connections and good working relationships with sponsors
Provide the operational leadership to bid defense meetings and attend bid presentations where appropriate
Facilitate the resolution of any issues arising from the sponsor relationship

Your experience
University/college degree (life science preferred) or certification in a related allied health profession from an appropriately accredited institution (e.g., nursing certification, medical or laboratory or laboratory technology) or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills and abilities
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of global clinical pharmaceutical industry experience including 10 years demonstrated skills and competency in project management tasks
