The Yard Jockey does this by positioning and moving trucks and trailers on and between warehousing facilities. The Yard Jockey also begins to train and build competence on key tasks in the Warehouse such as case picking, powered industrial truck operations, loading/unloading activities, sortation and palletizing activities. The Yard Jockey also covers breaks and lunches as assigned by their supervisor. The Yard Jockey completes these functions in the support of the warehouse and distribution of dairy related products.</p> <p><strong><u>Job Responsibilities</u></strong><strong>:</strong></p> <ol> <li>Responsible for achieving assigned goals in the areas of warehouse/distribution, safety, quality, performance, and cost.</li> <li>Responsible for positioning and moving trucks and trailers on and between warehousing facilities</li> </ol> <ol> <li>Responsible for local vehicle operations involving the performance of routine inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to supervisor.</li> <li>Conducts pre-trip inspection of trailers; operates tractor trailer handling equipment; transports trailers in the yard; and completes yard check forms.</li> <li>Responsible for complying with GMP’s, SOP’s, corporate and/or plant policies, rules, and regulations.</li> </ol> <ol> <li>Provides assistance and support to all areas in the warehouse as assigned by supervisor/lead and begins to train and build competence on key tasks in the Warehouse such as case picking, powered industrial truck operations, loading/unloading activities, sortation and pall
