The ARINC GLOBAL Network (AGN) system is comprised of several private data centers and connects to the far reaches of the globe, in almost every country providing aviation, airport, government, and transportation connectivity. AGN provides private networking in a highly reliable, secure and available world-wide network architecture for Collins Aerospace IMS mission critical aviation, transportation, and airports customers.
The successful intern will serve as a member of the AGN Network Engineering team responsible for and engaging in the design, development, testing and evaluation of network security and communication technologies, products, and solutions in support of the ARINC Global Network. Candidate must have some familiarity with cybersecurity/security methodologies and concepts and technologies as they apply to network and cloud infrastructures. Candidate must be highly motivated, able to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently.
What YOU will do:
You will serve as a technical member on projects that contain moderate to highly complex environments, utilizing high availability concepts.
[endif]You will collaborate with other members of the Engineering team in the development of technical design solutions.
You will capture, analyze, decompose and create requirements for infrastructure security systems, products and subsystems of moderate complexity.
You will use an interdisciplinary approach, focusing on customer needs and business requirements, to design, develop, document, test and maintain network security systems ranging from the straightforward to moderately complex.
You will conduct threat and vulnerability analysis, risk mitigation, information assurance, penetration testing.
You will apply Security/Cybersecurity methodologies to network and systems design to provide secure services that support business requirements and ensure information security.
You will provide post-fielding support, resolving operational issues involving L2 and L3, in a multi-routing network infrastructure.
You will be working collaboratively onsite in our Annapolis, MD facility.

Qualification You Must Have:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Qualifications We Prefer:
Understanding of IP Networks, and network management concepts.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
