Sr VDI Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

Peraton will deliver a broad spectrum centralized IT infrastructure, services, and processes to include Cybersecurity Task Order (CTO) compliance activities for the USSOUTHCOM networks to include three enduring Joint Task Forces (JTFs) and multiple Security Cooperation Office(s) (SCO). Our team will provide support to continuously evolve and leverage the latest technologies and best practices to rapidly refresh capabilities and ensure platforms and intelligence operations are optimized to support the SOUTHCOM missions. Peraton will ensure that all required capabilities meeting the USSOUTHCOM’s mission and those of its various mission partners, to include, but not limited to, other DoD organizations, other U.S. Federal and state government agencies, and foreign government military and non-military mission partners.

 

Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to be joining our team to develop and deploy a new VDI rollout project for the command. This is an opportunity to showcase your skills in the VDI realm and make it your own.

 

• Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems
• Work side-by-side with the engineer to maintain and deploy VDI thin clients
• Will work directly with SCCM/MECM to ensure patching/security compliance is handled and with the Service Desk department to troubleshoot issues with the hardware/software
• Project is still new to the command and open to valuable input to successfully complete this project in a timely manner
• Keeping master image and pools update and secured
• This is a hands on, direct with the customer position

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience *

 

• Top Secret/SCI Clearance
• 12+ years of related experience
• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related field (6 Additional years of applicable experience may be substituted for a BS, AS plus 4 years applicable experience may be substituted for BS)
• Technical Training in VMware and VDI Infrastructure
• Required Technical Skills: VMware, GPOs, AD, and VDI
• Required Skills and Abilities: Communication and problem-solving skills will be highly valued
• Preferred Skills: FS Logix and/or Horizon Client experience preferred

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
