Overview
The Testing Center Proctor will be working at the Utah State University Uintah Basin campus in Vernal, UT. Hours are varied depending on need and will be scheduled anywhere between 7:30 AM to 10:30 PM Monday through Friday, and other times as assigned. Hours will be up to 28 hours per week and will change each semester. This position is specifically for evening shifts, 4:45 PM-10:00 PM, proctoring exams in the Vernal testing center, Mondays, Wednesdays and every other Friday. Enrolled USU students are not eligible to work as a testing center proctor.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of computers, use of email, and willingness to learn simple technology skills.
- Dependability, punctuality, and integrity.
- Access to reliable transportation and Internet (for email).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous college education and understanding of the relationship between students and instructors.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions or work assignments.
- Cultural sensitivity and an ability to build rapport with a diverse workforce in multicultural settings.
- Self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to learn new skills or techniques.

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
