We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:

PayPal Data Services Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of PayPal, Inc., seeks Software Engineer 2 in Austin, TX;

Job Duties: Design, implement and maintain business and Infrastructure critical systems software. Design, code, and test complex features. Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and other software issues in a time critical manner. Design and develop highly scalable and technically complex systems using Java/Python. Identify user interactions. Review user interface ideas and applications with the development team. Write application interface codes using JavaScript following React.js workflows. Develop and implement highly performing backend applications. Troubleshoot interface software and debug application codes. Monitor and improve system performance. Produce clear, modular, extensible, maintainable, and well documented design and code. Telecommuting permitted – work may be performed from anywhere in the U.S.

Job Description:

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered, as a Software Engineer, or a related occupation.
