What you’ll be doing:
- Mentor and guide our software engineers, fostering their growth and development through coaching and real-time feedback
- Provide technical guidance to our software engineers and stay informed on industry best practices, and emerging technologies
- Recruiting and making hiring decisions for open positions on your team
- Attending to the professional growth of the engineers you support
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time and with high quality
- Ensuring your team’s components are supported operationally
- Maintaining a healthy engineering culture
- Manage, support, and grow the engineering organization responsible for building our caregiver’s portal
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll define technical requirements, prioritize projects, and ensure timely, high-quality deliveries
- Work within an Agile framework, with a focus on results over process
What success looks like in this role:
- Lead your team to deliver projects that improve the efficiency of our care teams.
- Implement an in-house solution to manage cases for our members.
- Create and implement processes for managing your team’s operations, including bug reduction, agile management, and technical debt reduction.
- Extend our internal EHR to support all caregivers.
- Help lead the major upcoming customer launches and provide technical thought leadership on product innovations.
What we expect from you:
- 5+ years of full stack programming expertise preferably React and Ruby on Rails
- 1+ years of software Engineering Manager experience, and enjoys being a technical hands-on manager
- Have demonstrated a track record of building high-quality products, cross-functional collaboration and managing high-performing teams
The target base salary range for this position is $159,100 - $194,150, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
