Sommelier Coraline's - Beau Rivage

THE JOB:

As a Sommelier in Coraline's, you will be responsible for complete knowledge of wine lists, wine and food pairing.  You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service.

THE STARTING PAY: $22.40/hr + 5% wine sales

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Maintain complete knowledge of wine list, and wine and food pairing
• Maintain and update cellar/storage inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in designated area
• Meet regularly with the wine trade to actively seek quality wines  for the restaurant wine program as well as evaluate wines and other beverage for potential purchase
• Verify accuracy of wine delivery ordered and received from the main warehouse and return or exchange deliveries when a warehouse error has occurred
• Maintain and update cellar/storage inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in designated area

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Certified Sommelier diploma | Court of Master Sommelier level 1 or equivalent
• Knowledge of beverages on menu, including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass; major wines, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes
• Describes themselves as detail-oriented
• Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression
