In this exciting Manufacturing Technician role, you will be part of the dedicated, experienced, and high-performing Technician team at the Medtronic Danvers MA facility. At this facility, we design, develop, and manufacture components used in Medtronic medical devices. In this role you will gain experience with advanced manufacturing processes and equipment, supporting the manufacturing of components for medical devices such as catheters and deep-brain stimulators. You will be a key member of the operations team, ensuring optimal equipment performance to support daily production as well as driving improvements to support manufacturing stability.
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.
Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.
Manages critical spare parts and assets digitally.
Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Requires high school diploma or equivalent (United States), vocational or technical education or certification (all other countries).
Nice to have
4+ years of experience in operations within medical device or pharmaceutical industries; basic job knowledge of systems, techniques and procedures obtained through prior work experience or education.
Experience in medical device industry, preferably with endovascular therapies, products and technologies.
Experience with digital asset management.
Working knowledge of process development and validation.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Experience with equipment qualification and troubleshooting.
Troubleshooting Skills.
Experience using common electronic documentation software (e.g. MAP, Agile or equivalent).
4+ years of experience managing assets digitally is highly desirable.
