What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

• Develop comprehensive validation and verification plans for vehicle electrical systems, including hardware, software, and overall vehicle performance, aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Create and manage comprehensive EE related requirements for the whole vehicle environment(s).
• Oversee the execution of validation activities, including test planning, execution, and analysis, to ensure adherence to performance, safety, and quality standards.
• Identify potential risks related to system integration and validation and implement effective strategies to mitigate these risks.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools with a strong understanding of electrical components, systems, and automotive architectures.
• Strong understanding of EMC principles, testing methodologies, and mitigation strategies.
• Efficiently manage resources, including budget, personnel, and equipment, to optimize integration and validation activities.
• Manage technical expertise for on-road and track testing of prototype vehicles to validate simulation results and assess real-world performance, incorporating physics-based insights in both the physical and virtual environments.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures to validate the functionality and performance of the electric systems in the entire vehicle, including power electronics, control units, wiring harnesses, and other electrical subsystems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and testing groups, to address vehicle level issues and ensure that electrical systems meet performance and compliance targets.
• Develop comprehensive validation and verification plans for vehicle systems, including hardware, software, and overall vehicle performance, aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Lead the analysis of simulation results, including complex physics-based data, draw meaningful conclusions and make recommendations; ensure vehicle designs meet performance and safety requirements.
• Work closely with other R&D departments, including E/E integration to integrate characteristics and simulation efforts into the vehicle development process.

Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events regularly. This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Novi, MI. Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

• 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on electric system and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) verification, preferably in the automotive or electric vehic
