Immigration Paralegal (Case Assistant) - AI Powered Support User

The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC is seeking an Immigration Paralegal (Case Assistant) who is comfortable using AI-powered support to assist our immigration practice, specifically leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency. This role will report directly to the Legal Supervisor and assist attorneys in managing immigration cases effectively. As part of our commitment to innovation, we are integrating AI-powered legal tools to enhance workflow efficiency and improve client service. The Immigration Paralegal will utilize technology driven solutions for document drafting, case summarization, and workflow automation, ensuring effectiveness in case management.    Responsibilities  

• Analyze case documents and prepare immigration applications for filing with the appropriate government agency, leveraging AI-powered tools where applicable 
• Use AI-powered tools (e.g., case management software, document automation) to summarize case notes, draft declarations, and generate legal documents for attorney review 
• Assist attorneys in reviewing AI-generated research summaries and template-based documents to improve workflow efficiency 
• Manage case progress using systems like CLIO and Airtable while keeping clients informed with timely updates 
• Identify and implement AI-driven solutions to streamline case preparation and enhance legal service delivery 

  Qualifications   

• 1-2 years of experience in Immigration Law, with knowledge of immigration processes 
• Proficiency in AI-powered legal tools, such as document automation, case summarization software, and AI-assisted research tools 
• Familiarity with AI-driven immigration platforms (e.g., Docketwise, Visalaw.ai, or similar) is a plus 
• Experience with case management software (e.g., CLIO, Airtable) preferred 
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to integrate AI tools into legal workflows
