Job Description
Review frequency and severity of repairs/replacement of various consumer products covered under Fortegra’s Extended Service agreement. The candidate will share and collaborate with Management and our accounts to provide insight into the problem products or parts. The candidate will work with all support units for Consumer Warranty as well as provide updates to our training materials and at times train various associates relative to triage of claims requests. Candidate will create reporting and tracking tools for this initiative and prepare both internal and external information for review and action.
- Will work approximately 20-30 hours per week. This will be a part-time role with flexibility.
- Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes relative to claims
- Reviewing claims to determine frequencies and severity of issues relative to each product covered.
- Communicate and track issues, reviewing findings with management and potentially our accounts for potential actions.
- Departmental Training relative to failures.
- Preparing documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors.
- In this role you will assist in the development of operational and implementation plans for areas of assigned responsibilities.
- Researches and keeps abreast of new technologies and their applicability to areas of assigned responsibilities.
- You will support relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform detailed documentation to track project development.
- Ensure project timelines are met and stays within budget
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Understand the Manufacturing process and Retail industry.
- 2-5 years of experience working in engineering
- Firm grasp of engineering concepts, schematics and experience designing mechanical systems and products
- Excellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems.
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
- Must be self-motivated and a great team worker and lead when necessary.

Qualifications
Bachelor in mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years in Insurance Industry Experience
Understand CAD schematics and mechanical processes to uncover core problems. Working with internal and external teams. Statistical validation.
