Production Support - Inbound Materials

ABOUT THE ROLE

The individual functioning in this capacity will generate boatload information to the proper areas, ensure that proper load blending is achieved and will process all necessary paperwork. All duties are performed in a work-safe manner; plant safety rules are followed and the individual works as a team member. The primary responsibility of this position is that of boatload specialist.

 

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Practice and promote safety in such way, including but limited to, assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing PPE.
• Exercise and encourage core values, including but not limited to; developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment.
• Operate several pieces of equipment including but not limited to: Loaders, Excavators, Backhoes, Scrapers, Dozers, Haul Trucks and Vacuum Trucks.
• Visual and safety inspections of equipment.
• Compliance with MHSA standards, service standards, work instructions and other requirements.
• Preventative maintenance of conveyors and other equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.  Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Required Education:  High school diploma/GED or equivalent or n/a years of equivalent experience.

Required Training/Certifications:  Valid Driver'sLicense, Mobile Equipment Experience.

 

 

Additional Requirements:  

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
