The Global Director of DevOps Engineering will oversee the architecture, development, and implementation of scalable DevOps and Infrastructure solutions across the organization. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading and evolving the development engineering SDLC and managing the global DevOps team, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automation. This position requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, automation, DevOps methodologies, DevEx horizon, the ability to create and manage a forward-looking DevOps culture, roadmap, and experience in managing complex technical projects. 

Responsibilities

  • Strong experience in Jenkins, Artifactory, Gitlab SonarQube, Spinnaker, Ansible AWX, Python and Groovy Scripting.
  • Implementing various testing, development, automation tools, and IT infrastructures.
  • Monitoring the development processes during the whole lifecycle to ensure their adherence and creating or updating new processes and minimize any waste.
  • Promoting and building automated processes wherever feasible.
  • Defining and establishing test, development, release, update, and support processes for the organization’s DevOps operations.
  • Selecting and deploying the appropriate CI/CD tools and performing any configuration management.
  • Experience in Groovy scripting, writing complex shared libraries which supports multiple build tools.
  • Experience in Gitlab CI is a must and write a template which supports all types of build.
  • Experience in Spinnaker and how to use the spinnaker API’s which will help in modernizing our deployment pipelines.
  • Kubernetes cluster management, autoscaling, auto-healing.
  • Enhancing and optimization of existing Gitlab CI framework.
  • Collaborate with the application development teams to troubleshoot Pipeline- Build, Testing and deployment phases.
  • Ensure availability, reliability, and maintain overall performance of DevOps tools.
  • Experience in agile development discipline and the ability to learn fast and supply high quality solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).  
  • 12+ years of experience in Devops engineering or a related role.  
  • 5+ years managing SDLS Deliver and DevOps team(s) in preferably and enterprise environment.
  • Strong CICD skills using Gitlab CI/Jenkins/Spinnaker/Ansible AWX  
  • Define and execute the DevOps vision and strategy in alignment with business goals, championing best practices and driving meaningful objectives/results.
  • Good understanding of software environments, dev/qa/staging/uat/prod and what requirements need to be upheld as well as the release management process.
  • Promote automation at all stages of the software lifecycle; ensure consistency and efficiency in deployment and scaling processes.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices and security measures; ensure infrastructure and processes meet compliance standards and mitigate security risks.
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Groovy, Python, or Shell.  
  • Firm knowledge of Agile DevOps.
  • Experience of addressing compliance and governance requirements of a complex organization  
  • Solid knowledge of AWS and AWS networking concepts (VPC, subnets, ALB/NLB).

  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in cloud environments.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills, capable of articulating technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
