Cyber Software Engineering, Senior Advisor

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Software Engineer Level 3 to perform front-end development for the Technology Customer Gateway (TCG) and Is It Down (IID) team. The TCG web application provides customer product status and information to product users and managers. The selected candidate will have knowledge of JavaScript language, major frameworks such as React and Redux and NodeJS and npm develop and build environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.
• Twenty (20) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated ability to work with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Acumulo, Big Table, etc.
• Demonstrated work experience with the Map Reduce programming model and technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Pig, etc.), the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS), with Serialization (JSON and/or BSON), and Restful services.
• At least five (5) years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux/RH operating systems and in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.
• Hadoop /Cloud Developer Certification or comparable Cloud System/Service Certification.
• Demonstrated work experience in at least four (4) of the preferred characteristics.
• Experience deploying applications in a cloud environment; developing and deploying data driven analytics; event driven analytics; sets of analytics orchestrated through rules engines.

Target Salary Range

$190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
