About the role

 

Bluesprig, is seeking an experienced Procurement Professional to establish and lead our Procurement department.

 

The Procurement Manager position is based in our Houston Support Services office and provides strategic leadership and support to all centers nationwide as well as Support Services team members.  The position reports to the Chief Accounting Officer and plays a key role in the Finance department for the company.

Responsibilities

How can I make a Difference?

    • Negotiate contracts across our portfolio of products and leads all RFP processes
    • Lead stakeholder initiatives on scope of works formulation, results analysis, contract negotiations, recommendations, and implementation of programs for a variety of Procurement products and services requirements
    • Provide analytics and tracking of spend compliance as it relates to suppliers and location performance (KPIs), product use, and cost
    • Perform administrative and managerial duties as they relate to leveraging technology, systems content management, customer base profiles, billing protocols for customers in collaboration with Accounting  
    • This role will collaborate with management as well as upstream and downstream process owners to identify opportunities and deficiencies to process and operational effectiveness. This role will work to influence best practices and provide insightful data analysis to support organizational primary objectives
    • Provide procurement expertise to staff through the development of all training, policies and procedural protocols

Qualifications

Does my experience fit?

    • 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a Procurement Manager or Director. Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, statistics, or related discipline or equivalent experience required
    • Strong people influence, communication, organizational, and managerial skills and experience working with cross-functional, multifaceted teams
    • Strategic thinking and ability to align department goals with corporate strategies
    • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead process improvement initiatives, to develop and motivate staff to implement change, and to problem solve effectively
    • Ability to prioritize and function independently as necessary
    • Experience working with all levels of staff, including executives at VP and above
    • Advanced computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
