We are the leading provider of services for the life cycle management of batteries used in hybrid and electric vehicles. We are currently hiring a Lead Warehouse Operator for our Las Vegas Service Center.
This individual will perform a variety of tasks in a fulfillment operation including receiving / shipping and performing inventory on materials. May be required to operate fleet vehicles, including forklifts; required to repeatedly lift heavy, up to 50lbs, items throughout a shift.
Job and Responsibilities:
The Lead Warehouse Operator should be able to perform any of the following daily tasks:
- Utilizes light warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks and carts.
- Performs / ensures safe and timely transportation of equipment and materials from origin to destination.
- Provides delivery of company materials and equipment as needed.
- Operates standard equipment, such as a forklift.
- Performs unloading / loading of materials, equipment and packages daily.
- Checks shipping papers to determine the nature of load and to check for the presence of hazardous materials.
- Ensures that all shipment documentation required to move with shipment is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment when delivered.
- Performs repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds, and/or pushing or pulling of up to 100 pounds with pallet jack or other assistive equipment, repetitive bending, stooping and reaching.
- Unloads incoming materials and stock as needed.
- Pulls inventory to fulfill requisitions as needed.
- Packs customer orders according to specifications.
- Ensures accuracy of both inbound and outbound orders.
- Operates warehouse heavy equipment for picking, packing, and shipping operations.
- Uses computer programs designed to support various warehouse functions (receiving, testing, shipping, etc.).
- May assist in performing periodic warehouse inventories, and at higher levels may assist in researching discrepancies and taking corrective action.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Documents defect logs and other problems, tracking what percentage of orders or goods fail to pass quality assurance compliance, and certifying the products that do meet quality standards.
- Reports any frequent problems regarding the quality of goods to the Supervisor.
- May develop, implement, and execute quality management procedures and systems.
- Assists with damaged freight claims.
- May be required to have basic knowledge of billing system.
- Trains, coaches, and leads other Warehouse Operators on an as-needed basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED and 7 years’ experience. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 5 years’ experience; or 9 years’ experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
- Ability to operate equipment including a Forklift.
- Repeatedly lift to 50lbs. per shift.
- Must be able to pass Hazardous material certification.
Working Environment
Variable, consisting of both the office environment and the manufacturing floor. Potential hazards include proximity of moving machinery. The position may require an individual to stand, stoop, move equipment; bend, reach, or lift for prolonged periods of time. PPE
