Quality Coordinator

We are looking for a Quality Coordinator to support our repack and fulfillment facility near South Bend, IN. The Coordinator will lead our quality management processes to ensure we meet established standards and customer requirements. This role is essential to maintain product integrity, meet quality standards, and support overall operational performance.
Initial operations will typically run one day shift, Monday through Friday, but may change based on customer needs and program growth.
Key Skills & Competencies
1. QUALITY INSPECTION & PRODUCT VERIFICATION
Critical Skills: attention to detail, measurement accuracy, documentation accuracy, blueprint reading, reliability, caliper and other measurement use, integrity, Microsoft Office, basic math, English literacy, read and interpret work orders and packaging specifications.
Responsibilities:
• Participate in scrap reduction analysis/activities.
• Lead quality investigations for all issues reported externally and internally.
• Update quality log and other forms of documentation.
• Participate in layered process audits (LPAs) and other floor level auditing for corrective action and continuous improvement.
• Participate in internal audits as needed.
• Issue quality alerts as needed.
• Assist with root cause analysis for internal or supplier issues.
2. OPERATIONAL SUPPORT & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Critical Skills: problem-solving, organization, initiative, time management, analytical thinking, independence
Responsibilities:
• Maintain complete and clear documentation for all inspection activities.
• Communicate inspection findings and concerns to appropriate teams.
• Identify opportunities for workflow or quality improvements. Recommend and/or lead enhancements.
• Support continuous improvement efforts at the site, especially as it relates to quality.
3. COMMUNICATION & CUSTOMER SERVICE
Critical Skills: collaboration, customer service, written and verbal communication, comfort reporting potential issues.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate potential non conformances clearly and promptly.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth material flow.
• Support customer satisfaction by ensuring only approved product moves into production.
• Train employees as needed on quality standards and best practices.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
4. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations and customer needs.
