Job Overview
The Director of Operations Finance – Transitions and Talent Development will play a critical role in supporting Sage Hospitality Group’s operational and financial excellence. This position is responsible for leading the transition of hotel properties onto Sage’s financial systems, onboarding and/or training property-level Directors of Finance and managing special projects for the Operations Finance team. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong technical skills, exceptional project management capabilities, and a passion for process improvement.
Responsibilities
System Transition & Implementation
- Lead the onboarding and migration of hotel properties to Sage’s financial systems.
- Ensure accurate configuration and integration of financial and operational data.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Sage’s financial platforms.
Training & Development
- Design and deliver training programs for property-level Directors of Finance.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
- Act as a resource for troubleshooting and best practices.
Project Management
- Manage special projects for the Operations Finance team, including but not limited to, process improvement initiatives and system enhancements or rollouts.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables; monitor progress and report outcomes.
Process Optimization
- Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities to streamline processes.
- Recommend and implement solutions that improve efficiency and accuracy across financial operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with corporate departments and property teams to ensure alignment on financial and operational goals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

- All other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Qualifications
Education/Formal Training
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
Experience
Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in hospitality finance or operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Knowledge/Skills
- Strong knowledge of hotel financial systems and operational processes.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results on time and within scope.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
