Summary
As an Air Export Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the air export operations team in ensuring timely and accurate movement of freight to international destinations. You will assist in coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customer requirements, and company policies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in processing air export shipments from start to finish, including documentation, booking, and tracking.
- Liaise with customers, carriers, and customs brokers to ensure smooth movement of freight.
- Coordinate with internal teams, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery of shipments.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns related to air export shipments.
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date shipment records in the company's transportation management system.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Educational background / Work experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, logistics, or international trade.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in air export operations or a related field.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Customer service-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with transportation management systems.
- Familiarity with air export documentation and procedures.
- Understanding of INCO terms.
Language skills
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
Computer Literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience working with transportation management systems.
