Systems Engineering Lead

AWSs/DRTS Systems Engineering Lead "W-TRS"  Fort Cavazos , Texas

 

V2X is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead engineering efforts across the Aerial Weapons Scoring System (AWSS) and Digital Range Training System (DRTS) at Fort Cavazos. This role supports system sustainment and modernization through the application of enterprise-level systems engineering practices, working closely with government leadership to ensure alignment with program goals. The engineer will help drive consistency across multiple sites, guide technical support activities, and contribute to key initiatives focused on improving lifecycle affordability and extending system longevity. This position requires a proactive, analytical mindset and a collaborative approach to solving complex integration, sustainment, and performance challenges in support of Army training operations

 

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 8 years of related engineering development experience working in the DoD industry.
• Experience in full lifecycle systems engineering practices and principles in an enterprise system domain
• Experience in developing and sustaining requirements for complex systems
• Experience with complex system integration and test
• Very strong organizational and team development skills
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines (e.g. Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Configuration Management, Mission Assurance)
• Experience briefing (both written and oral) effectively to all levels of the organization, from peers to senior management and DoD customers
• Experience mentoring engineers of all grade levels.

Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current Active DoD Secret Clearance

 

Desired Skills:

Experience in the application of Model Based Systems Engineering

Masters Degree in Engineering or other relevant Technical Discipline

Experience Working on International Programs.

 

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related STEM discipline plus:

At least eight (8) years of related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering
