Pharmacist for Long Term Care Pharmacy
Night shift, some weekends, and occasional holidays

Position Title: Pharmacist II Long Term Care Pharmacy

Position Summary:

Prepares and dispenses parenteral, enteral, and oral medications, monitors patient drug therapies, and provides drug information. Directs support personnel. Can work independently while following departmental policies and procedures. 7-on-7-off schedule (72 hours per pay period).

What the Pharmacist II LTC Pharmacy will need:

• Five-year Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited college of pharmacy
• Current registered pharmacist license and controlled substance license issued by the Michigan State Board of Pharmacy
• Preferred One year of experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy

What the Pharmacist II LTC Pharmacy will do:

• Reviews, prepares and dispenses medication orders per physician order or prescription according to established policies, procedures, and protocols. Can work independently but stays within departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensures safe, appropriate, cost effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures and protocols.
• Contributes to the quality and effective operation of the department.
