- This position pays between $46,900.00- $65,125.00/ based on experience
The Supervisor of Self-Pay is responsible for the performance and effectiveness of the department. The Supervisor will be responsible for monitoring staff productivity and ensuring department objectives are met to improve revenue, accelerate cash, and provide excellent service to Ensemble Health Partners client’s patients and family. Additionally, they will work with Patient Access, Clinical, Coding, Billing, Cash Application, Follow-Up, and Denials and Revenue Management departments to coordinate efforts and ensure timely resolution to inquiries. They will empower staff to develop methods of process improvement, including planning, setting priorities, conducting systematic performance assessments, implementing improvements based on those assessments and maintaining achieved improvements.
Essential Job Functions:
Supervises all self-pay inventory activities performed by staff across Ensemble Health Partners. Staff responsibilities include:
- Working work queues
- Processing email requests from internal and external sources
- Working worklists
- Generating and reviewing reports
- Partnering with other departments to resolve issues with accounts
- Meeting collection goals as set by department
- Supporting departmental efforts to achieve area specific SLA’s.
- Ensures adherence departmental budget. Prepares monthly reports as requested.
Establishes departmental goals with the staff to optimize performance and meet budgetary goals while improving operations to meet the financial goals of the organization.
Collects, interprets and communicates performance data using various tools and systems, while also using this data to make decisions on how to achieve performance goals.
Works with internal and external customers to make key decisions, impacting either the organization or an individual patient.
Works closely with ancillary departments to establish and maintain positive relations to ensure revenue cycle goals are achieved.

Job Experience:
1 to 3 Years
Education Level:
Associate’s degree or Equivalent Experience
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience in physician and hospital operations
- Revenue Cycle Knowledge
- Microsoft Office experience
- Knowledge and experience in hospital compliance and provider relations
- Ability to think logically and critically
