Your team

UBS's Unified Global Alternatives (UGA) business actively manages investments of around USD 286 billion globally and regionally within Asia Pacific, Europe and the US, making it one of the largest asset managers in alternative investment solution providers worldwide. Our capabilities reach across the risk/return spectrum, ranging from core to value-add and opportunistic strategies in real assets, private markets as well as hedge funds.

You will lead the UGA Risk & Analytics function and work closely with colleagues across UGA investment verticals (Hedge Funds, Private Credit, Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, and Solutions), and UBS Asset Management Risk Control, as well as regular interaction with UGA senior leadership and governance forums.

Your expertise

• ideally 15+ years in investment risk management, portfolio analytics, or a related role in alternatives
• strong understanding of alternative asset classes and associated investment risks (e.g., concentration, liquidity, performance outliers) in a global context
• global experience working within an investment team with close interaction with independent oversight functions
• acute analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex risk information into clear, senior level insights
• strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with confidence engaging senior investment stakeholders
• proactive and structured approach, with the ability to operate effectively in build‑out and change environments
• proven ability to challenge constructively, while maintaining strong and trusted partnerships
• proficiency with automation, AI, and technology tools
• curiousity to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or international equivalent) in finance, economics, or a related discipline
