Job Summary:

The Senior SAP FPSL Lead / Product Manager is a highly hands-on expert with 7+ years in Finance Technology, specializing in SAP FPSL and integrated applications. With deep payments/banking industry experience, this role combines product leadership with technical skills in Python, data processing, ETL, and AI, ensuring end-to-end delivery, compliance, and innovation across Finance Technology.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

• Performs SaaS and enterprise-wide applications assignments using specialized enterprise systems knowledge and developed business expertise
• Leads enterprise-wide applications projects and/or programs within PayPal with moderate scope impacting information technology or enterprise systems functions
• Analyzes, evaluates, and makes decisions within general parameters under broad supervision
• May act as an enterprise systems resource for entry level and developing colleagues

Expected Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualification:

The Senior SAP FPSL Lead / Product Manager is a seasoned technology leader with 7+ years of experience, combining deep subject-matter expertise in SAP FPSL (Financial Products Subledger) with advanced technical skills across data engineering, AI, and emerging technologies. This is an extremely hands-on role, designed for an individual contributor who thrives on building, configuring, integrating, and optimizing SAP FPSL solutions while driving product leadership in Finance Technology. The ideal candidate brings direct, practical experience from the payments or banking industry, having worked end-to-end on financial systems that require precision, compliance, and innovation.

This role requires an expert who can seamlessly transition between strategic product leadership and technical execution: configuring SAP FPSL, writing and optimizing Python scripts, building ETL pipelines, managing large-scale data processing, and leveraging AI to improve financial operations. The Senior SAP FPSL Lead / Product Manager will serve as a trusted hands-on expert across Finance Technology, capable of engaging deeply with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and compliance partners. The right candidate is highly self-driven, able to hit the ground running, and passionate about solving complex finance technology problems in a high-stakes, regulated environment.
