We are seeking a Senior Aviation and Airport Project Manager with a specialty in Airport and Aviation design and construction. The role is located in Tampa, Florida and requires professional and project management expertise on complex airport facilities including terminals, airfield, runway, taxiway, FAA NAVAID, utilities, and landside projects. Day to day responsibilities will include executing the project functions of production coordination, planning, organizing, directing, controlling, financial management and client/business development.

How will you contribute to the team?
- Coordinates communications between internal and external associates, stakeholders, clients, and local, state, and federal agencies such as the FAA.
- Maintains frequent contact with clients and regulatory agency personnel to determine respective needs and requirements with little to no oversight.
- Support development of new business within the local and regional market
- Coordinates and participates in contract negotiations with clients and subconsultants. Drafts professional service agreements, arranging for their review and execution by senior management.
- Develops, communicates and manages project quality assurance, administrative procedures, communication guidelines, project deliverable formats and specifications, and progress reporting requirements.
- Monitors schedules, billings and reports; ensures appropriate charging of manhours, costs, earned value and expenses to projects; assists in obtaining payment from clients; resolves client disputes and adjusts billing records as required; communicates project progress/status to senior management and alerts them of performance problems.
- Coordinates work with lead technical engineers and guides and mentors junior professionals and technical personnel on the design and drafting of preliminary and final plans.
- Performs airside or landside project design oversight, reviews sketches and design concepts developed by engineers, subconsultants, CAD designers or technicians.
- Reviews and evaluates developed plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting the most cost-effective solution.
- May occasionally travel to project locations in and outside of the local area.
- Upholds engineering ethics and standards of conduct.
What will you contribute?
- B.S., M.S., or PhD in Civil Engineering.
- 10 or more years of experience since BS or 7 years since M.S.
- PE required in Florida or the ability to obtain PE in Florida within 6 months of hire.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant aviation experience is required.
- Must be familiar with FAA Advisory Circulars
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Incumbent will be required to participate in AtkinsRéalis Project Management training.
