ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.  The following duties and responsibilities are to be performed accurately, efficiently, within Company safety and Quality System standards, within specified time frames and as needed.

  • Move (within and between departments) and process as necessary raw materials, finished goods materials, scrap, all types of containers, non-production materials or other materials related to the appropriate process.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts to check system inventory quantities to maintain a high level of accuracy. 
  • Perform necessary computer-related duties, using various process-specific software programs, to support the assigned operation/process.
  • Perform and understand processes related to non-conforming materials systems.
  • Complete necessary forms, logs, tags, labels and related documentation that support manufacturing and/or quality systems.
  • Maintain workplace organization and housekeeping standards consistent with company policies and practices.
  • Using existing Kanban or internal scheduling systems as a signal, move appropriate materials to support all internal suppliers and customers.
  • Complete receiving of both direct and indirect (MRO, expense, etc.) purchase orders.
  • Ensure all material received match the packing documents supplied.
  • Assembly and Fabrication Only- Perform warehouse and parts replenishment duties. May flex into production-related functions within department as required.
  • Warehouse Only- Perform receiving, warehousing, and parts replenishment duties. Pick and ship to external and internal customers.
  • Shipping Only- Perform staging, packing, and shipping orders to external and internal customers.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to perform job-related tasks/duties, according to job standards.
  • Ability to operate all necessary equipment and/or machinery to perform job-related task(s).
  • Ability to properly setup all necessary equipment and/or machinery to

 perform job-related task(s).

  • Ability to understand safety guidelines that relate to job responsibilities
  • Ability to correctly interpret operational method sheet.
  • Ability to perform quality inspections/Total Quality Check.
  • Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of material flow tools.
  • Ability to understand visual standards and nonconforming material system.  
  • Ability to properly use material handling equipment (certification required).
  • Ability to perform job tasks within required timeframe.
  • Ability to properly identify WPO areas that relate to job responsibilities.
  • Ability to perform job tasks according to Allegion quality system/ISO 9001 standards.
  • Ability to operate any company equipment on roadways (shuttle, company van, etc.) with a valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to operate personal vehicles while on company business with a valid driver’s license.

REQUIREMENTS

Physical:

  • Ability to frequently stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. 
  • Ability to occasionally sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds floor to shoulder and occasionally lift and/or carry up to 75 pounds.  Power-assisted lifting may not be available due to space and equipment limitations. 
  • Ability to regularly push and/or pull up to 50 pounds (get confirmation on heaviest load-somi).
  • Ability of close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to operate industrial powered equipment within manufacturer’s height and weight requirements and guidelines for operators.

Mechanical:

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts. 

Environmental:

  • Exposure to high, precarious places up to 25 feet.
  • Exposure to heat, cold, wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic, flammable, or caustic chemicals; and vibration. 
  • Exposure to noise levels usually moderate to loud
