Position Summary:

Tidelands Health is seeking a dynamic Epic Trainer. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering Epic training courses, with a strong focus on driving user adoption in clinical settings. Epic certification is highly desirable. This role requires a deep understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to develop and deliver training using multiple methods, including in-person, virtual, and e-learning platforms. The trainer will collaborate with clinical teams to ensure the effective adoption and utilization of Epic systems within these specialized service lines.

Essential Functions:

• Design and deliver Epic training to clinical and administrative staff, including comprehensive training curricula, that is tailored to the specific needs of the Service Line
• Implement multi-modal training delivery methods, including classroom sessions, virtual instruction, self-paced learning modules, and hands-on simulations
• Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions that enhance the learners’ understanding of Epic workflows and functionality
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess and adjust training materials according to user needs and clinical workflows, ensuring that the content is relevant and addresses real-world scenarios
• Provide ongoing support for post-training, including answering questions, offering refresher courses, and troubleshooting issues with the Epic system
• Track and evaluate learner progress, adoption rates, and competency in using the Epic system
• Stay updated on Epic upgrades, enhancements, and best practices to incorporate these changes into training materials to ensure users are always utilizing the most current functionality
• Serve as a subject matter expert for the service line/Epic focus area, providing guidance and recommendations to increase efficiency and effectiveness
