Sr Supervisor, Maintenance

This role is required to be on-site and will be located in Biola, CA.

 

What you will do:

• Manage, motivate, train, and evaluate maintenance personnel.
• Promote and continually improve the safety culture of the work group and site.
• Work with the site leadership to develop and lead an overall maintenance and reliability improvement strategy for the site.
• Schedule maintenance employees to work on projects, repairs, and preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
• Oversee the hiring and use of contractors and contracted maintenance employees working on company property and equipment, ensuring they work safely and efficiently.
• Partner with corporate functions as well as local employees to oversee and utilize the EAM system to track projects, purchases, preventative maintenance, and work orders.
• Develop and execute small projects in order to improve plant operation and reliability.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of plant equipment and machinery.
• Recommend and purchase new equipment, tools, and repair parts, within budget, assisting in the Capex process as necessary.
• Assist in the purchase, design, and installation of equipment in work areas.
• Responsible for maintaining an efficient parts and supply inventory.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment for the maintenance department.
• Work with all plant employees in seeking ways to eliminate waste and inefficiencies throughout the plant.
• Maintain and promote positive team relationships within the Maintenance team and the site employees.

 

What you will bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in engineering; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Minimum 6 years of related experience including one year in a mentor, supervisor or leader role required. Ten or more years of maintenance experience and five years as a manger preferred.
• Ability to set priorities and manage multiple improvement initiatives.
• Must be physically and medically capable of wearing a respirator.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to climb stairs and ladders, work in close quarters, elevated workplaces, and confined spaces.
• Capable of working in varying temperatures.

 

Compensation & Benefits: 

The salary range for this role, in Biola, CA, is between $82,900 - $142,000. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs.
