The Need
For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Lead, Global Marketing Enablement.
The Lead, Global Marketing Enablement provides essential administrative and strategic coordination to the Global Vice President of Marketing and Communications and helps ensure smooth operations across the global marketing team. This role blends high-level administrative support with cross-team coordination, helping to foster alignment, momentum, and effective communication.
This individual will serve as a key support to the Global VP—managing scheduling, travel, expense reporting, and meeting preparation—while also enhancing the team’s effectiveness by maintaining team rhythms, streamlining processes, and supporting internal communications.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and deeply motivated by enabling others to lead and work effectively.
This position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Global Vice President, Marketing and communications and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.
Responsibilities
Team Communication and Management Support
Plan and facilitate recurring team meetings, global all-hands sessions, and leadership check-ins, ensuring smooth execution and meaningful participation.
Draft, edit, and distribute team-wide communications, updates, and announcements on behalf of the Global Vice President.
Maintain shared calendars and communication rhythms to increase visibility and coordination across the global marketing team.
Coordinate the development and delivery of presentation materials for internal briefings, planning sessions, and executive updates.
Project & Initiative Coordination
Facilitate coordination between functions (e.g., Brand, Story, Insights, Digital, Regional teams), ensuring efficient information flow and follow-through on key deliverables.
Flag bottlenecks, risks, or misalignments early and proactively work with relevant team members to troubleshoot or escalate.
Provide coordination and logistical support for key strategic marketing initiatives and special projects, ensuring cross-functional alignment, timely execution, and clear communication across stakeholders.
Support the successful delivery of high-impact projects by organizing timelines, preparing materials, managing task follow-ups, and maintaining clarity on roles and responsibilities.
