AI Data Operations Lead

<p>Figure is an AI robotics company developing autonomous general-purpose humanoid robots. The goal of the company is to ship humanoid robots with human-level intelligence. Our robots are engineered to perform a variety of tasks in the home and commercial markets. Figure is headquartered in San Jose, CA and require 5 days/week in-office collaboration. It’s time to build.</p> <p>We are looking for an AI Data Operations Lead to join Figure's Operations org and own a meaningful slice of how we produce human data for our humanoid robots. Data is one of the largest and most strategic functions at Figure, and this is a foundational role within it. You will solve zero-to-one problems and coordinate the development of new hardware, software, and operational systems with engineering and product.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>Day one, you will own a meaningful piece of Figure's data collection operation. You'll be hitting volume, quality, and velocity targets, building the systems that get us there, and partnering across engineering, product, and ops to make it happen. Specific responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Owning contributor acquisition, activation, and retention strategy and execution</li> <li>Identifying and launching in new geographies, managing localization, partnerships, and community building to establish presence in target regions</li> <li>Coordinating with engineering, product, and ops to develop the new hardware, software, and operational systems</li> <li>Owning your category’s data dashboard — tracking volume, quality, and throughput metrics daily, identifying bottlenecks, and shipping operational fixes fast</li> <li>Sourcing, negotiating, and managing relationships with local partners, agencies, and vendors to accelerate growth</li> <li>Serving as the connective tissue between your contributors and internal teams — surfacing hardware/software friction, translating field feedback into actionable product improvements, and advocating for your workstreams' needs</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>4+ years in investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, growth, or startup operations roles, ideally with exposure to a frontier technology business</li> <li>Comfortable rapidly building and deploying apps/agents using AI coding tools (zero technical academic background necessary)</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to own outcomes</li> <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Experience working across cultures or in international markets</li> <li>Highly organized with strong project management instincts — comfortable managing multiple contributors, sessions, or sites simultaneously and keeping all plates spinning&l
