Advanced Polymer Solutions (APS) is a customer-focused Center of Excellence providing industry-leading service while delivering differential value to the business, today and into the future.

As a member of our dynamic APS Asset Management and Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in helping us supply our products to a global customer base. In this role, you will act as the subject matter expert (SME) and first-line support for all APS Account Specialists which would include overseeing the domestic and export order fulfilment process as well as executing various project initiatives that support APS At Your Service. 

This position reports to the APS Customer Fulfillment Manager Account Specialist Manager currently located at our headquarters in Downtown Houston.  The position offers a competitive base salary, bonus, 401K matching, generous benefits package, pension plan, parking subsidy and employee discounts.

Roles & Responsibilities

• While this position does not have an assigned customer territory, this role does provide rotating team coverage based on outlined criteria for Account Specialists and some limited activities in Inventory Planning (50%).
• Provide training, guidance and mentoring to all APS Account Specialists to resolve customer or business related problems. (25%)
• Drive results by leading and executing various group projects and initiatives. (25%)
• Act as the main point of contact for all customer order-related issues and drive to resolution. Operate with a high degree of knowledge regarding customers, products, manufacturing, and transportation. Able to act confidently to ensure needs are met accurately and on time.
• Effectively deliver and facilitate communication across sales, marketing, operations, and transportation to provide answers to price inquiries, product availability, and transportation requirements. Proactively provide solutions to time-sensitive needs in a composed manner.
• Understand relationships across order fulfillment-related master data. Identify existing gaps and/or errors, and lead corrective actions in conjunction with master data team.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the Enterprise system (SAP), extended system tools, and drive customers/stakeholders and team members toward full utilization of e-commerce tools.
• Independently lead and execute customer fulfilment and system improvement projects.
• Develops and/or uses reports/dashboards to evaluate performance and supports continuous improvement and optimization efforts
• Serve as gatekeeper and provide timely maintenance for APS training material and online tutorials. 
• Build partnerships by working collaboratively with global customer fulfillment teams.
• Assist in data analysis and development of key process improvement milestones.
• Model LyondellBasell core competencies with internal and external customers.

Min. Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant, industry-related experience, including experience as a Level II or Senior Account Specialist (or equivalent).
• Able to work independently in SAP and other systems i.e. Excel, Celonis, Power BI
• Be familiar with complex, domestic accounts; Some export knowledge is preferred. 
• A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Will consider candidates with a High School Diploma that have at least 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Advanced Polymer Solutions experience is preferred.
