POSITION SPECIFICS
Campus Housing and Food Services Supervisors administer and oversee housing/food operations at specific Commonwealth Campus locations. The Supervisor's primary responsibility is to provide a safe, secure, clean, and well-maintained living and working environment for students, families, staff, etc.
- Administer and oversee residential and retail food services and housing facility operations at specific Commonwealth Campus locations; act as liaison between Housing/Foods, various University departments, and external customers/vendors
- Provide a safe and secure residential and working environment; ensure compliance with safety and operational standards, food quality control procedures, and regulatory inspections; report and correct deficiencies; prepare for and respond to critical incidents
- Execute environmental stewardship in all operational areas; project, schedule, and oversee equipment and facility maintenance; participate in renovations and upgrade projects; recommend equipment purchases; as directed, consult with contractors, architects, facility planners
- Under management guidance and direction, research, develop, market, and implement new products, menus, recipes, concepts, and process efficiency improvements
- Maintain supply, key, and equipment inventory; place orders, negotiate prices, and make purchases; resolve quality and quantity disputes
- Review and analyze budgetary items; identify and propose business growth and cost containment opportunities
- Create a student-centered work environment through residential community involvement; engage with students, student groups, athletics, academic leadership, parents, conference participants, camp attendees; provide timely response to inquiries; follow-up/escalate as needed
- Hire, train, coach, schedule, supervise, and evaluate assigned employees; communicate and enforce standards
- Follow Collective Bargaining Agreement provisions; participate in grievance procedures, hearings, and arbitrations as required
- Participate in departmental and University-wide initiatives and committees; complete special projects and reports as assigned
MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience acApply for this role
