Senior IT Systems Engineer

ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a firm that provides innovative IT Solutions, is seeking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer.

📌 Location: Athens - Northern Suburbs

📍 Working Model: Hybrid Working Model

🖋️ You will be reporting to: ICT Director  

What you will do:

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Managing and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure
• Installing, configuring, testing and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
• Monitoring and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
• Maintaining security, backup, and redundancy strategies
• Participating in the design of information and operational support systems
• Liaising with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• On call 24/7 and after-hours support when required

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or other relevant disciplines

• 5+ years of proven experience in the information technology sector.   
• Experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows Server OS and LINUX OS environments
• Experience with Infrastructures on at least two (2) of the major Hypervisors (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM based) ( FC\iSCSI storage integrations)
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Office 365 (policies and integrations)
• Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
• Understanding of IT security requirements, policies and GDPR aware infrastructures
• Experience in performing implementations, ongoing support, and maintenance of server infrastructure tools
• Strong technical writing and communication skills with an uncompromised customer focus
• Excellent/proved problem solving skills
• Able to work with all levels of external and internal customers
• Fluent in Greek and English language
• Driving license

Will be highly appreciated:

• Experience in Azure or AWS management tools
