We are seeking a Project Engineering Intern with initiative to join the GeoXO Spacecraft Team within Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations. Join the team that is delivering the next generation Weather and Earth Science Geostationary Satellite Constellation for NOAA/NASA. Join a team that works on incorporating digital technologies and efficient practices to lead various projects in the development of a comprehensive integration and test plan.
As a Project Engineering Intern, you will:
• Lead projects in support of the development, peer review, release, and delivery of test plans including satellite subsystem test plans and satellite test plans.
• Help ensure on time submittal of Integration and Test document deliverables to the customer
• Contribute technical information for subsystem and satellite integration and test plans
• Participate in working groups for satellite instrument accommodations and all other spacecraft subsystems through their comprehensive design phases
• Collaborate with other disciplines including Systems Engineers, Principal Engineers, Mission Assurance, Finance, Planning, and Configuration & Data Management
• Support Program System Engineering in the development and verification approaches of test requirements including identifying test equipment needs
• Prepare presentation material and present at Technical Interchange Meetings to Various Stakeholders
• Gain an understanding of and perform job duties using the principles and disciplines of Satellite Test Engineering including policy, procedures, process discipline, operations, safety, and industry best practices
Basic Qualifications
• Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Software, Electrical, Aerospace, or closely related discipline from an accredited college
• Experience with technical writing and project planning
• Experience with project execution and delivery
• Experience with Microsoft Office Tools
• Must be a US Citizen
Desired skills
• Experience with Microsoft Project or other Project Management Tools
• Experience developing software tools to analyze large data sets
• Experience working in Confluence
• High attention to detail with proven ability to stay organized and complete projects on time
• Verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal communication skills, and ability to achieve consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members
