Senior Project Engineer

Overwatch Construction Management is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Project Engineer to join our team. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the successful execution of various construction projects, from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, technical and administrative support during the preconstruction phase, construction phase and closeout phase.
• Responsible for project document control, circulating, receiving, tracking, and maintaining organized document files, i.e. Review plans, meeting minutes, RFIs, submittals, change orders, ASIs, schedules, etc.
• Responsible for circulating, receiving, tracking, and maintaining organized document files throughout all phases of design development, permitting, etc.
• Responsible for management of review comments from stakeholders, i.e. circulating design documents for review, collecting review comments, compiling, vetting, tracking, etc. to ensure issues are addressed.
• Assist with change order management. The PE shall be able to independently review change order requests for merit and fair pricing and prepare change orders for processing.
• Manage the closeout and turn over process.
• Assist to prepare project files for CSU system audit at project completion.
• Site conditions verification and support as needed. 9. Responsible for setting up meetings as needed, note taking and follow-up.

Requirements

• 6+ years minimum experience in the construction industry as a project engineer or similar, including major capital projects
• Design-Build Experience is a preferred, CMAR Experience is a plus
• Institutional/Higher Ed experience preferred but not required
• CSU experience is a plus but not required
• Experience working for a general contractor on large construction projects is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and professional attitude
• Position is on-site, in-person only
