POSITION SUMMARY: This position provides clinical guidance and leadership to behavioral health programs in the designated region, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and effective care. The role supervises Clinical Services Administrators, drives staff development, implements continuous quality improvement initiatives, monitors access and productivity, and oversees program clinical operations to optimize client outcomes and overall regional performance.
REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
- Five years post-graduate, post-licensure experience in providing psychotherapeutic assessments, evaluations, and interventions with clients. This experience must include work with adults with serious mental illness and work in a community agency providing mental health services.
- Minimum four years’ supervision of licensed Behavioral Health professionals.
- Knowledge of psychotropic medications.
- Additional experience and training in child and family therapy, chemical dependency counseling, cross-cultural communication, and rural and frontier service delivery are desired.
- Experience working with local, state and federal agencies, Veterans Administration and Tribal governments is strongly preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Independently licensed (non-provisional) Mental Health professional in the State of New Mexico (e.g., Psychologist, LISW, LCSW, LPCC, LPAT, or LMFT). Must have license by date of hire and maintain current throughout employment.
- Must also obtain a supervisor designation certification no later than the next licensure renewal date and maintain current thereafter.
