Instrumentation & Electronics Technician

The UAW Instrumentation & Electronics Technician is primarily responsible for repair, maintenance and build-up of electronic test instrumentation associated with various vehicle testing facilities at the Stellantis Chelsea Proving Grounds.
This position will provide exposure to a broad range of electronic troubleshooting/repair/calibration and builds.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, PLCs, industrial controls, and demonstrated trouble-shooting skills. Other duties may include general bench work building cable harnesses, circuit assembly, test instrumentation boxes, calibrating various sensors and meters, network / PC troubleshooting and repairs.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or GED
- A certificate in electronics engineering/technology or equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year in troubleshooting and calibrating instrumentation, sensors, other test equipment
- Motivated to work both independently and as a part of a team
- Flexibility in providing necessary support when required
- Good communication skills with all levels of colleagues in the organization
- Basic computer skills with email, Microsoft Office usage etc.
- Valid Driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- An Associate's Degree in electronics engineering/technology or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working in the field of electronics
- Experience working with PLCs, AC/DC drives, industrial controls, data acquisition boxes/loggers, calibrations of sensors
