The Work You Will Do:

This position leads the Right of Way Administration Office, which is responsible for the acquisition of right-of-way essential for the construction, enhancement, and maintenance of transportation infrastructure. The Right of Way Manager will be responsible for signing the Certification for Construction ensuring that the projects can be advertised for construction.

Additionally, this role oversees the Property Management, Valuation, and Relocation Programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The incumbent will manage appraisals, negotiation of rights-of-way, coordination of relocation assistance, leasing, and surplus of real property, while also implementing strategic initiatives to optimize land use and mitigate project impacts.

Annual Salary Range:

$ 140,297.68 - $181,561.70

 

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

 

Directs all negotiations with property owners to include making final decisions regarding administrative settlements including business damages. The Right of Way Manager also has final authority in the district on settlements in eminent domain litigation. Responsible for the overall efforts in the relocation of homeowners including counseling and seeking replacement sites. Provide all project certifications. Assign Department’s client representative.

Director property management of all Department owned right of way and the disposal by lease or sale of lands excess to the Department’s needs. Directs the activities of Joint use projects Right of Way Management System (RWMS), Project Scheduling, records archives, and invoicing.
